- Category weights: AI Discovery 25; Crawlability 20; Structured Meaning 18; Answer Quality & Trust 23; Reach & UX 14
- The primary score covers the complete normalized AnswerReady and downstream suite. Pass earns full weight, partial earns half, and fail earns zero. Informational and not-applicable outcomes are excluded; unable-to-verify outcomes lower coverage. Blocked or degraded critical paths, target-owned failures, and unresolved conflicts apply visible readiness caps.
- The AnswerReady AEO/GEO/SEO core rubric remains separately visible. scoreVerified confirms complete-suite recomputation; coreScoreVerified confirms the core-rubric point math.
- JSON-LD quality checks schema.org context, typed nodes, core properties, and stable absolute @id values.
- External PlatPhorm inputs are schema-validated before sending. Outputs are size-bounded and schema-validated; invalid or unavailable evidence stays degraded.
- Scans of *.platphormnews.com add a separate public-read-only Phase 1 contract assessment covering routes, health, discovery, OpenAPI/auth, trust, MCP ping, trace state, Vercel metadata state, and secret hygiene.

- Scan API negotiation: POST https://answerready.platphormnews.com/api/scan accepts application/json or text/markdown; it returns Vary: Accept and structured 406 errors when no supported representation is acceptable.
- Unified rollup: the stored report includes every normalized local and downstream test, provider health, redacted evidence, status totals, applicability, confidence, failure owner, critical path, conflicts, and remediation prompt.
- AgentReady detail: the rollup preserves its scanner/suite versions, target identity, category scores, coverage and applicability accounting, recommendations, safe evidence records, observed resources, trace metadata, and security-attestation state as visible downstream evidence.
- AgentReady compatibility: if a provider returns findings without its report-level envelope, AnswerReady exposes a findings_only completeness state, derives only bounded finding evidence/coverage, and marks omitted upstream fields unable_to_verify.
- Staged scan modes: quick runs local signals plus AgentReady; standard runs all server-side provider lanes, PlatPhormReady plan/execution evidence, and BrowserOps target validation; full permits real BrowserOps execution and bounded PlatPhormReady local verification; browser emphasizes Chromium; network keeps caller measurements separate; developer emphasizes API, protocol, and PlatPhormReady conformity checks. Skipped providers remain visible as not invoked.
- Downstream evidence retains bounded response metadata and parsed summaries; response bodies, credentials, cookies, and secrets are never exposed in the public report.
- Full/browser modes preserve BrowserOps browser profile, render, console/network/accessibility, screenshot, trace, navigation timing, and bounded PerformanceResourceTiming checks as first-class downstream tests.
- SitemapOps target crawling preserves child sitemaps, sampled URL status/redirect/canonical/noindex/robots results, lastmod quality, external locations, and coverage of important platform/product surfaces. Authenticated AnswerReady orchestration may provide the already-observed root sitemap plus same-target scan context so SitemapOps can avoid refetching that artifact while retaining authority over child crawling and route sampling.
- MCP scan results include the complete normalized test suite in the tool response and through answerready://scan/{id}/checks; evidence and rubric resources remain separately addressable.

## Boundaries
- When to use AnswerReady: for a bounded rollup of website, agent, search, trust, sitemap, browser, API, and MCP readiness evidence.
- When not to use AnswerReady: for destructive browser actions, authenticated private-data testing, high-volume crawling, longitudinal regression monitoring, or caller network testing without explicit browser consent.
- Scans are public, read-only, bounded, and rate-limited.
- Localhost, private IPs, link-local targets, credentialed URLs, and unsafe redirects are blocked.
- Report persistence is best-effort and reports honest degraded status when Upstash is unavailable.
- PlatPhorm contract results are not folded into the general AEO/GEO/SEO score and external sites are not assessed against network-only requirements.
- Future mutation, publishing, sync, reporting, and administrative actions require PLATPHORM_API_KEY.
- /.well-known/ai-plugin.json is not applicable because AnswerReady exposes OpenAPI and MCP directly.
